a lot of purple a lil pink and a lot of silver..oh my

Ok well originally I decided our main color would be pink. But all the people involved with the wedding refused to wear pink. So we decided main color to be royal purple with accents of pink and all the flowers to be pink. Now we're getting everything ordered and bought for our March wedding. Lo and behold we came across some great deals on the after Christmas sales and decided to purchase ribbon, lights, etc. And almost ALL of it is white with silver..lots of silver. The ribbon is wide and very iredescent (sp?) and sparkly ..we ended up with over 300 YARDS of ribbon!! Now, what on earth can I do with it?????? Any suggestion? I can list other things that I have bought too and maybe y'all can give me ideas on what to do with it? Just desperate for ideas before I go shopping this weekend too. I dont' want to purchase MORE things and have an overabundance of things we're not going to use!

You might also think about using the ribbon around your centerpieces... even laid loosely in curls on the tables would be cute.; ▶ Reply to This

On a personal note, it was GORGEOUS!!!! Exactly as I invisioned, and everything blended perfectly. I also used some of the ribbon to wrap the bridesmaide's boquets. I pinned them up with pearl finished pushpins and then overlapped them with a thin small grosgain purple ribbon (in 2 shades) to tie them in better. Everything sparkled and shined and was very elegant. I'm glad the day turned out the way it did!; ▶ Reply to This

The groom added 50 or so purple roses to the archway at the last minute before the wedding started because he didn't think it had enough purple..lol. And, it was supposed to be lighted. And, the white tulle (behind the bridal party) is matching white tulle on the right hand side (out of sight) that was supposed to cover the areas lining the organ and piano. Those were also lighted. Last minute before wedding started..the arch blew a bulb and nobody could find the replacements. And, nobody remembered to even plug in the tulle! Go figure.. there's gliches in all sorts of things no matter how hard and far you plan.....:D; ▶ Reply to This
