Cheap and affordable wedding

So we're planning are wedding and my budgets 1,000 dollers does anyone have advice? My cakes bing made by my aunt donna, the ceremony and reception is at our apartments in the wreckroom(the club house). Food from yummy subway, and my uncles doing the ceremony. Bridesmaids are wearing white dresses that they have to buy themselves. Thank heavens for Ross!!! And the men are wearing black tuxs with white shirts underneath... gotta love summer wheather. oh and did I mention the theme is black and white... so if anyone has ideas or tips please feel free to share.

Comment by Laura Turley on April 9, 2008 at 2:44pm: I dont know if you have a David's Bridal in your area, but i found my wedding dress for $99 plus tax and its beautiful! I also found Bridesmaid dresses in my color (lilac) on the clearance racks in the store for $20 a piece!

There is also a website i went to for decorations, napkins, flutes & other accessories that were very much cheaper than other places & the quality was great! It's the Oriental Trading Company! They also do free personalization and the napkins & flutes were personalized beautifully! Everything shipped quickly as well!

Another place ive bought stuff at is EBAY. I bought a beautiful cake topper that is a one of a kind for $14 w/shipping - brand new! You can find some good deals on there if you watch daily! I have a budget like yours & im almost done! I still have the wedding cake (walmart - $80) to order & purchase.

For flowers, ive decided to carry 3 longed stem flowers wrapped in a beautiful tulle ribbon and the girl's are carrying 2 each. Im only doing one flower arrangement for the brides table at reception.

I read the best wedding advice and ive followed it - decide what is MOST important to you in your wedding, then compromise price wise on the rest of the items! Worked for me! Im now anxiously awaiting the date!
